We need volunteers or we face having to close food bank locations. The National Guard is ending their service at the end of the month. Yet the number of people needing food is at an all-time high. We need volunteers to help pack boxes and distribute food.
We look forward to welcoming back former volunteers and bringing on new volunteers.
We are not accepting court mandated community service volunteers at this time.
The safety of our volunteers, clients and staff is the number one priority for Nourish. We continue to do curb side/walk up service at all sites. This allows us to keep socially distant and to limit interactions. All volunteers must be given a re-usable face mask and we continue to provide masks to clients as they are available. We will be implementing temperature scans and COVID screening for all staff and volunteers at all sites. We are using no-touch thermometers and the Piece County Health Department Screening Logs as a means to reduce COVID exposure
